Hello, my name is Oliver Savage and I offer the services detailed below.
Computer software and hardware repair, installation, and troubleshooting for business and home.
Wireless, networking, firewalls, custom PC builds, security, backup, data recovery, tutoring, streaming, and entertainment.
I have been working and playing on computers since the age of 11, with over 30 years of experience. Much of that time has been with people who don't have a technical background. My approach is to focus on good communication. Asking the right questions, listening to what my client needs, and providing information that allows us to make the best decisions together.

How can you be sure that I can be trusted to work on your computer, and have access to your data?
I am more than happy to provide any potential client with both my C.V., and local references. I have worked as a consultant for the State of Alaska Crime Lab and as a State Employee in New Mexico. Both of these positions required that I pass a background check. The most recent background check I passed was in 2019. Lastly you should never blindly trust anyone with sensitive or private information about you. If you disagree then I am obliged to refuse your business.
When working on a hardware problem I can often remove the portion of your computer that your data is stored on. Another potential approach is to install software to encrypt your private data together before I begin any work. You alone or we together may be able to copy the private data to an external device, and then delete the data from the computer. You may be able to have someone you trust perform these tasks, and/or have them review my processes before I begin. If the process is short enough, you may be able to be present during the duration of the work.
Please be thoughtful of what private data you store and where. The proliferation of recording devices, and the level of intrusiveness by the digital world on our lives is a serious problem. We should all be willing to learn more about these issues and take steps to secure data that we each define to be private. Stay safe, and take care.
